One of two nearly identical studio residences designed and constructed by Gunnstock Timber Frames to serve as artist housing for the Tippet Rise Art Center.
The Timber Frame uses traditional mortise and tenon joinery and is crafted out of Western Larch harveted from Idaho and Western Montana.
We wrapped the frame in Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) to both provide a tightly insulated shell and to meet an expedited construction schedule.
